It is week two of the remodel. We have had a lot of volunteers and a lot of material and labor donated. It is amazing to see what we have been able to accomplish with everyone’s help.
The old trees that were in front of the school were taken down to make room for the expanded driveway and parking lot. Dirt and concrete is being removed and leveled making way for gravel that was donated.
We will be roughing in the plumbing and adding exterior faucets, along with fixing the soffits and adding exterior plugs. The framers will be re-framing the kitchen to make room for the IT area. The windows in the gym will be replaced along with the installation of some new windows. Hardi material will soon be installed on the exterior.
We have had all the cabinets for the kitchen, bathroom, and classrooms donated and will be working with our donors and the ROBC ladies to design their kitchen. We started dismantling the chain link fence in hopes of re-purposing it somewhere else. At the next remodel meeting, we will go over and create a plan for the walking track and playground. The painting will start in June with the help of a couple of local businesses and their crews.
Our goal is to have the front of the school done for the Farmers Market Fundraiser on May 30th.
There is a lot of great things happening at the school. We are one day closer to opening up the Holy Trinity School! Make sure you are signed up for the monthly newsletter to be notified of all the great changes we are making!
